whatever, we can have a board clown...it is ok, but I will rip him every moment I can... Elvis: No, I meant that Philly got 'hometown' calls that actually were the NBA trying to get a game 5, 6, 7...the refs know their job...going to be harder to make those calls at the Gahden... Pud: If the refs know their job, what difference does it make where the game is being played? I think what Pud was asking is that if it's the refs job to give the HC team an advantage (if that's what you meant by "do their job") then you'd be expecting the refs to call a favorable game for the C's and he (Pud) and other fans here have rarely seen the refs do a great job of providing a HC advantage to us when at home. They almost always seem to be trying to help our opponent no matter where we play. But of course you meant their job was to try to extend the series no matter where the game but it would be harder in Boston as it would look bad. My response is, when did the NBA or refs care about how bad it looks. If that were the case Foster wouldn't be assigned a game to ref in the playoffs. Pud's point I think (but not intending to speak on his behalf) was that if the refs called a square game as they should (doing their jobs) then it shouldn't have any affect on the game no matter where it's played. Here: celticshomecourt.freeforums.net/post/47152/threadgeez admin, hella more energy than any one person should put into this...but Pud well knows that the league will steer towards a longer series, but it is harder to pull off in the opposing arena...yet he still chooses to cause issues, because he thinks it is more entertaining than having an actual basketball discussion...no big deal, I will let this go...if Pud will...his entire gig is to annoy...

Green Envy: What Sixers fans said - Game 5, 5/9/18Sean Waukewan
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Jaylen Brown dropped 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting. Terry Rozier had 17 points, Al Horford added 15 points, Marcus Smart finished with 14, and Aron Baynes tallied 13 points.Top FiveI only got one thing to say to you Coangelo, "How's that Taintum taste?" This series has really lowered the hopes for the future for me. our next 1st round pick is gonna redshirt his first year anyways Lol Dwayne Casey will be the coach next season Paul george got knee surgery today....he’s def a sixer On Young GuysTrade Ben for Kawhi while we can I bet Fultz is relieved to have the season over. Now he can shoot in a gym without having 10 reporters streaming it on Twitter. We need Fultz to stop F’N around and grow some balls. Our important guys made too many mistakes. Theyre young. We'll grow Gonna be a lot of pressure on these young guys after this series. Simmons played like dirt for most of the series. Fultz is gonna get ripped to shreds Embiid walking away early. Ben stayed on court congratulating Boston. Jo the sore loser crying on the way to tunnel. Ben finishes the series -63 in 5 games. TJ finishes the series +41 in 5 games. Yet down the stretch every game the ball is in Ben's hands when it's obvious that he doesn't have it this series. that was an absolute choke job yet again. this entire series was embarrassing. from Brown to Embiid to Simmons to Covington to Fultz. just all around pathetic. On Brett BrownWe will get owned by Brad Stevens every year. Brett Brown has an entire arsenal of tool to use yet he only uses one in every situation. Switch coaches & we win the series 4-1 our coach failed us miserably Brett Brown better learn from this. I'd put this series on Brett. Not his best coaching performance. We flat out choked away 3 out of our 4 losses we lost because Brett and Ben weren't good enough Always have to go through the Boston Celtics?? Shut up Brett Plz go get stan van gundy.. its a blessing he is available. Go. Get. Him. Now. If they ditch Brett after this season, I'm done with this team until ownership changes. Full SlateRefs cost us a game by calling some ridiculous fouls in the 4th and then not calling that on Baynes on Embiid’s last shot. Boston can go **** itself. So can Adam silver. - For the record, I like the Boston Celtics and Adam Silver. We choked, came up small in big moments, and made killer mistakes. They are just as young but they didn't choke. We did. We gave them 3 games. Just handed 3 of them over to them on a silver platter. Aand the most funny thing is, redick is +11, game high, LMAO Redick, Belinelli, Covington, and Ilyasova can get way far away from this team and never come back. They choked when we needed them most. That was such a choke. We had a 4 point lead with 2 minutes left and choked it away. Again. Boston has Hayward and Kyrie coming back. They're going to destroy us for the foreseeable future if we don't start nailing draft picks with legitimate ballers. Not role players or busts. Paul george got knee surgery today....he’s def a sixer I'm sorry, there's no polishing this turd.

So much for TJ Mc's speed being an issue for the Celts.
Celts were just caught off guard when the Sixers started TJ.
It was just a change of pace that the Celts eventually figured out.

If the league steers toward longer series, it is failing miserably.
Very miserably!
The GSW (4-1), the Cavs (4-0), the Rockets (4-1) and the Cs (4-1) are all headed to the conference finals.

If you listen, you can still hear Embiid talking. Guy walked off the court like a 5 year old. Very talented, but an ass. I heard this was called a "gentleman's sweep." I like that. They get one win at home, then we close them out. I label this year, not that anyone cares, as a success. We need to sign Smart this off-season. He just does "stuff" out there that only real fans, like all of us, see.
As for the next series...............Brown, Tatum, Morris, Smart and Semi all taking turns on LeBron...........will still, I'm afraid, not be enough. I want a deep and long series, though, as I don't think CLE can beat GSW. Bring on the Cavs!!

He didn’t have a player like Love. We went on to win a banner but I’m still pissed we lost to LA in 2010...egregious 42-18 foul shot difference and 21 in last qtr. Had 12 pt lead almost end of 3rd. Yup, I want a long series too, at least more than 5 games. Last 2 yrs 4-0 and 4-1. Living in SF I will be a Warrior fan if they play the Cavs.

Jackie McM on EEI said she thought they'd try to take away Love and everyone else, but James ...James will get his, but they can rotate Morris & Semi on him to make his life harder.
Great effort by the C's vs Philly. Wether they get past CLE or not, it will be a tussle. They won't turtle like Toronto.

Sometime back, MLB addressed the issue of eliminating incentives for teams in the World Series to extend play to 7 games in order to make more $$$.
As I understand it, WS participants get revenue shares from the league based on income generated from the 1st 4 games of the WS.
Beyond that, revenue for each team drops off sharply.
This was intended to reduce team incentives to extend play for obvious financial reasons.
Dunno if the NBA has such a policy... but it should.

Someone should make an excerpt video from the last series of phili players slamming into Celtics in the post with no call.
I used to get mad when they would let jabar back defenders down, but it was nothing like these huge shoulder slams. Clearly phili got the message they would be allowed that advantage. Message was sent about a minute into the first game when Baynes didn't get that call.

This season the Cavs are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA.
The problem with Toronto was they couldn't score on a regular basis against the Cavs.
If the Celts can score against the Cavs then I see the Celts beating the Cavs and advancing to the Finals.

The Cavs series will be predicated on offense. If we can score on the Cavs then we will be competitive. I don't see LeBron being able to sustain a 7 games shootout. However, if we can't score with them, the LeBron can generate enough points even on bad days.

However, if we can't score with them, the LeBron can generate enough points even on bad days. We need to tire up Lebron; dude just does not play defense anymore. This way he can play 45 minutes a night, solely focusing on offense. We need to attack on HIM, we should not be afraid of him making crucial defensive plays. Make him work on defense in order to decrease hic effectiveness on offense. And attack fast! In fastbreaks! Our offense tends to get stagnant in half court sets, so running nonstop could be our best chance.

Also, I think Monroe can be a contributor in this series because the Cavs have nobody who can guard Monroe in the low post.

There is no way in Hell that the league lets LeQueen lose...I would take all bets and all amounts, but I will not root against my Celtics.. ———- I think the league wants a GS...Cavs finals. A saving grace for Cs fans is to become Warrior fans. Easy for me, I live here. But we would give GS fits. We are 2 fast break teams, good 3 pt shooters, good defenders and neither has a dominating center like the Greek Freak, Embiid , A. Davis etc.
