I don't mean to throw cold water, but I don't expect to win until Thursday. We're lucky to be here. But does not mean that the 4 hours will stop passing faster. :-) Hey, I am going to enjoy myself and hope that the young guys discover that they are capable of even more. It is all good. Seems like Brown out is one too many. I'm just saying IF we lose I'm not going to get down about it under the circumstances.

Celtics vs. 76ers match up previewCross-matches will be crucial in deciding what should be a tight series.Contributors: Keith P SmithImage credit: Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY SportsIn a match up that may ultimately cause NBA Twitter to explode, the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers will meet in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The two Atlantic Division rivals met four times this year, with Boston winning three of the matchups. Unfortunately, you can’t draw much from the regular season series. The last time these two met was in late January. Since then, Boston has lost Kyrie Irving and Daniel Theis and added Greg Monroe. Philadelphia has added two key rotation players in Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova. Another tricky part of evaluating these two teams head-to-head is that Philadelphia has shown considerable growth in the second half of the season. Some of the things they did early in the year have been scrapped and other, more favorable, system changes have been implemented. Finally, you can’t easily preview this matchup in terms of position vs position. This is because of the uniqueness of Ben Simmons. On offense, Simmons plays as traditional a point guard role as there is the league. On defense, he generally guards a wing or a big. Because of that, we have to approach the preview slightly differently from the way we did with the Milwaukee Bucks. With all of that in mind, on to the matchups! 5 Total Updates Since: Celtics’ bigs vs. 76ers’ bigs < LINK By Keith P SmithAfter a series against the Bucks when the Celtics went small, they’ll face a bigger Sixers team that could force them to play big. Looking for the hat trick tonight…Bruins, Sox & Celtic victories. Fortunately, my tennis club in Mill Valley, Ca. has 8 TVs so I will being requesting 3 of them. Fortunately, Warriors don’t play tonight but San Jose Sharks on same time as the Bruins and Giants not on until 7:30 vs San Diego. Many will be rooting for the Celtics, some exPats, and some California Team fans who like Boston Teams. 2:45 pm here now so 1 hr 15 min until Bruins & Sox games and hope we are winning in both those to ease my nervousness waiting for the 5 pm NBA. Wearing my “B” on my cap and a “Boston Strong “ t-shirt. If chilly, I got my LL Bean sweat shirt…cannot get much more New England than that iconic company in Freeport, Maine.
PS...on another TV yet I'll be rooting for Houston Astros to beat the Yankees !!!

Boston Celtics need Semi Ojeleye to repeat round 1 successby Joshua Bateman Aron Baynes is starting, but Semi Ojeleye needs to have an impact for the Boston CelticsThe Boston Celtics have announced that Aron Baynes will be back in the starting lineup against the Philadelphia 76ers. With the success he had with Al Horford in the regular season, this is the option Brad Stevens has to trust right now. What [we] also know is that Semi Ojeleye has no problem being ready to come off the bench, and have a massive impact on the game. Ojeleye earned every single minute he played in round one, and he will have to do the same thing against the Philadelphia 76ers. Even if Baynes performs well, Ojeleye has earned minutes, and they will need his versatility against so much size and shooting on the 76ers. Their bigs are not as dynamic on defense as the secondary bigs on the Bucks, but the 76ers have much better shooters.
The Celtics need their bigs to be able to defend the three point line, but also be there to help with the stronger players in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Preventing the 76ers from getting anything easy in the paint will be vital, and Ojeleye has the strength to offer resistance. Baynes is a better pure paint protector right now, but you still have to consider the three point shooters. Ojeleye needs to make sure Stevens has more flexibility with his defenders, and does not let the size and shooting of the 76ers dictate the way they want to play. The Celtics embraced all their versatility against the Bucks, and they will need even more of it against the 76ers. Ojeleye has to prove that he can defend the 76ers the way he was able to defend the Bucks, and that will be enough to get him significant minutes. The Celtics know that they have to win with defense, but need shooting to keep up with the 76ers. hardwoodhoudini.com/2018/04/30/boston-celtics-need-semi-ojeleye-to-repeat-round-1-success/

Let's get this show started. Smart has a BIG void to fill. Others have to step up. You know Fultz wants this series badly.
