This is the amount of 3's made by Jamal Murray during his Celtics workout the other day. Very impressive. Now, can he defend? I'm leaning toward Brown or Murray now, but what do I know?

There's no reason Murray can't be an above ave. defender. He can also take it to the rack and finish at a high level. I actually don't believe he was used enough at Ky. last year. Kind of like KAT the year before!! Every time I watched him last year, I found myself thinking, this guys gonna be a star!!

Murray has probably as much if not more upside than Dunn who's probably more NBA ready .Most think Murray will be a two guard in the pros. I think our priority would be a Pg Who knows maybe Rondo will come back for a couple years or we'll trade for a proven one I expect the 76ers to pick Murray with our three pick

If not traded then Murray's (shooter) my top pick followed by Brown (need a SF)...

I'm all in for two years. What we don't pickup this year we do the next. As Much as i want to see Crowder coming off the bench i can live with him starting another year .At this point i would like to see us upgrade with mostly bigs at the 4 and 5 Good draft year for that. We can't possibly field a contender next year i don't believe.
So we really need to look at who's gonna be available with that Nets pick next year. At least have some idea anyway. It has to be a top five in what most say is a strong draft.

He looks like a safe pick. I feel Brown has more upside and has an NBA ready body. Murray would probably be able to contribute instantly.

Rondo has other teams interested in him and Boston would be an unlikely choice. My guees is he wants another ring in the next two years and that ain't happening here. We do look a lot better shuffling sideways than taking any steps backward your right on that.

So, Bender, Murray or Brown? Think I'd have to go with Bender on that one. Only 18, 7 ft tall..........could be a player in a couple of years. Are we forgetting Hield? No one high on him anymore?

espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4723260/jamal-murray-at-celtics-workout-im-the-best-player-in-the-draft... members of the Boston Celtics organization, perhaps trying to test Jamal Murray's mettle, alerted him that he was within striking distance of a team record during Wednesday's pre-draft workout.
Murray, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Kentucky, then calmly drained eight of his final 10 3-point attempts, finishing with 79 makes out of 100 and besting the Brad Stevens-era pre-draft record of 77, set earlier this spring by Gonzaga's Kyle Wiltjer. espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:16048776Said Murray: "I believe I can score on anybody."I believe him after seeing the comparison between his stats as a freshman and Steph Curry's ... If DA passes on this guard I'm gonna be sick. We finally get to draft a guard with size that can shoot and score so now's not the time to be thinking big Danny.

I'm all in with either Murray or Bender. Though I must say, Murray is impressing me more and more.

My father always taught me that when everyone zigs, you zag. I wouldnt be against going huge and bullying these small ball teams. Turner Bradley Crowder Jerebko Strong / Powerful Center. Then w Smart coming off the bench. Go small on that team, I dare you. Then bully bully bully. We'll be hated for sure, but aren't we always hated. Steal the recipe from the Bruins cup run. Bully everybody. I'm half kidding, but I wonder if it would work.

Maybe try to get Garnett back. Just create the identity of yes, we will bully you on the court, and yes if you want to fight, we will do that too. Come at us, I dare you. We'll throw a headbutt and not apologize.

I watched a trilllilillion college basketball games this season. Other than Simmons, Murray was the only other guy that NEVER disappointed. There's no disputing the fact that, Murray provides shooting. But the reason why I don't consider him a safe pick is because, look at all of the highly rated shooting prospects over the past few years:
Jimmer Fredette Austin Rivers Ben Mclemore Nick Stauskas And of course, James Young and RJ Hunter
I wouldn't expect to see the C's pick Murray unless they plan on immediately swapping him for someone like Okafor or Butler.

Attachment Deleted The Zhejiang Squirrels are showing a lot of interest in our own recently departed (w/brief stops in Dallas and Sacto) CapTripleDub. Who knew R9R would be such a draw in China? If signed, Rondo will likely compete with another American, former Ok.Univ. PG Willie Warren, the 54th pick of the Clippers in the 2010. Pud

Garnett won't leave Minny but that's a good idea. Unless Rozier steps up Turner is our best and only choice at PG. IT needs to come off the bench. He won't be a happy camper and i would trade him before his stock drops I don't mind giving Jerebco a chance at starting. PF but Sabonis and probably a few others PFs in the draft seem to have much more upside. The only chance for a good defensive center seems to be Noel unlees Ainge can find a sleeper which is possible. I'm all for zigging but we don't have the outside shooting to play small ball.

You and Pud said he would be playing in China last year. How did that prediction work out. Just like the one we'll be going deep in the playoffs last year. I suppose we be going to the finals this year. One of these years perhaps you'll get lucky. Besides i said that's probably what Rondo wants not what he gets. I'll be taking some bets he'll be signed to a two year deal in the NBA next year and not in China. You and Pud need to get a Pay Pal account and ante up mine is well funded.

How did this thread end up about Rondo? Rondo is done here, he is irrelevant to any Celtics conversation. I believe there is a separate forum now for non-Celtics related matters. This is supposed to be about Murray hitting 79 out of 100 3's in his workout for the C's. That Murray kid really impressed, and I think that Murray kid is making the brass think about taking him. That Murray kid is now in the Bender, Hield, Brown conversation.

I suppose i broke some rule by using a banned name. I'm sorry won't happen again. The point for the ones that CAN'T keep up was . We need a PG more so than two guard. Murray is fine if Rozier works out and we trade one of our many two guards. Besides it drew Pud out i was worried since he's posts here so little lately. My advice to you Hedley is put me on ignore before your head explodes.

I guess never wrong is someone who wants to trade our #3 pick for a basically unproven C, yet whines on incessantly that our #1 need is a PG. Glad I know that now!
