This team was great to watch this year. I think they overachieved, given their personnel. I mean, one reliable scorer? They never gave up and had a lot of big comebacks. Best part is that with the draft and free agency they are in great shape to contend for a ring very soon. I gotta agree, it was a fun year to be a Celtic fan. Each year we have improved since the rebuild began. Next year I expect further improvement with all the draft picks, cap room and tradable assets that we have. I really hoped to get into the second round this year, but things didn't go our way. We are improving ... 0-4 Cavs and now 2-4 Hawks Next year we should expect to advance to the next round or better if DA gets something done.

All done. It was a good season. Can't complain. Might have been better had the 2-3 Heat not gotten the 3rd seed ... see if the NBA let's that happen again. Maybe we fair better in the Lottery ... something to look forward to! We got a pretty bad matchup without a doubt!

I was ok with losing in any given round with the condition that we made a statement. It didn't happen in the last two games. We wanted to make a ton of points in small spurts like many of the games we played and lost during the regular season. Another scorer is welcomed and I have to agree that that guy Murray could be it but please DA move some guards. Not only we missed contributions of AB, we also missed Crowder, Oly and Sullinger. They were really bad all throughout. All good..please dont bring hortford. I rather have Love than Hortford. Good times guys. We improved. Whomever thinks differently has the tanker mentality.

agree ... and I've seen enough of Sully. I thought Jerebko was much better in the 4 spot and Oly was a bummer but I'll give him a bye with the possibility that his shoulder is a problem. Do we keep Turner? In a trade who do we give up ... Smart, Rozier or Bradley for a Jimmy Butler?
Horford or Gasol & a Lottery Big? I'm passing on Horford after this series if he wants to break the bank.

Judging from these two games I even had enough of IT. I felt he was trying too hard. The 3 ball has to change unless we find a reliable shooter. Am afraid Hunter is not it.

I'd part ways with Young and give Hunter some more time. But no doubt, we need a scorer and either Butler or one of the top shooters Murray or Hield would help if we keep the top 3 pick but I think DA may go with Bender in that case. I want a lottery or near-lottery SF like Korkmaz or Valentine but both have been moving up in the lottery so Bender at 3 or trade down??? IT is danny's boy just like AB ... though AB might be needed to get Butler. Oly is up in the air ... if we get Gasol, keep Amir and get Bender and either a FA like Whiteside or another big in the draft Oly could be history and Bender could be the guy that ends Oly's time in green

Well it's easy to see who our best player is. Without Bradley we had zero shooters, poor IT had 2 and 3 men on him at all times, as the Hawks knew no one else could step up. Amir, IT and AB are really the only guys worth keeping. If all the others were gone next season, it wouldn't bother me at all!!

This is the year to step up the pace of our improvement. 2 wins against Atlanta is probably equal to no wins against the Cavs. We have a team of competent bench players with maybe a couple who could play on a title team( although not together ) Now we need to get about four quality starters

That's what I said earlier ... this is the year to get some FA's before they get priced out of the market by competition. Even if we don't get the "ultimate fa" we will have some assets worthy of trading up.

I did not mean this year. Don't presume to tell me what I mean just to preva9il in a discussion. I was talking about what Employee8 said in the first post of this thread, which you might have read more closely

First post of this thread reads like this: "There will be a 6th game in Boston no matter what ..."
Nothing to do with the Cavs as far as I can tell.

We def need a scorer. I dont think its RJ. Im always skeptical of tournament darlings. To me, playing well in a small sample with bright lights is how one quickly becomes overrated. I'm always weary of guys who are mediocre during the season but play well in the postseason. The increase in production could mean that the player performs under pressure, but it's usually nothing more than a misleading small sample.
Like Pablo on the Sox. Guy is mediocre, has an awesome post season, gets dubbed "awesome in the playoffs", gets a monster contract, reverts back to mediocre self.
I'm all for burying RJ on the bench next year. Mickey and Rozier , I'd like to see get minutes.

I wanted to see Rozier and Mickey get some decent minutes this year but we were more concerned about wining this year. Rozier did fairly well in the playoffs despite the fact he's played little. I been saying this all season Ainge drafted him to replace someone in the offseason we'll see who. Mickey i believe might have a ceiling about the same as Amir. Hard to say just quite yet however

Will be interesting to see how they employ eight draft choices I predict a little draft-and-stash for second round picks in the future.

Agee ... good idea using late 2nds (51 & 58) to stash some bigs or young guards needing time to develop like George de Paula (PG), Bentil (PF), Papagiannis (C), Onuaku (C), Brimah (C)
